Celebrating 25 Years of Sonairte - Co Meath

Sunday 25th August 2013

Celebrating 25 Years of Sonairte

We are celebrating our 25th Anniversary of being Ireland's first Ecology Centre on Sunday 25th August. We will be also integrating Heritage Week in to our event.

It will be a fun day out for all ages with free admission. Some of the events are a Childrens Treasure Hunt, Falconry display, 'X-Madra' judged by Linda Martin (Does your dog have the X-Factor?), Music by local band Grace Wilde, a performance of the play 'The White Horse of Ballygarth' and a walk & talk event throughout Sonairte and part of Laytown. There will also be crafts and demonstrations, pony & cart rides, archery and various old style games to enjoy. There will be a small fee for the treasure hunt and dog show but we are trying to keep the day as 'free' as possible.

We will be inviting all past and present volunteers and friends to 'Bring a Memory' on the day. This can be in the form of a photo or an anecdote to share on our birthday memory collage board. We depend fully on volunteers to keep the doors to Sonairte open so we would like to bring everyone together to say a big thank you!

Everyone is welcome!
