The Lodge at Ashford

Set in the grounds of Ashford Castle, The Lodge at Ashford enjoys one of the most beautiful locations in Ireland, with views down Lough Corrib and, adding interest in the foreground, Lisloughrey Quay with small boats in the harbour and its old stone buildings set against wooded hills.



The heart of the hotel is a fine period house on a ten acre site adjacent to Ashford Castle, and with access to its grounds; behind it, the newer rooms were added discreetly in two-bedroom units, built around an attractive landscaped courtyard (where civil wedding ceremonies may be held); to the side, a bright and airy function room is well-designed with direct access to a bar and other public areas, and also to the lawn at the front of the house, making a wonderful setting for weddings.



The Setting



On a fine day the front lawn is a lovely place to enjoy drinks and canapés after your Wedding ceremony. There are also several areas indoors which are suitable for the drinks reception before your celebration dinner.



The Harbour Room



This spacious and well appointed room can accommodate up to 180 guests and is filled with natural daylight with stunning views of Lough Corrib. Adjoining the Harbour Room is the Quay Bar, a generous reception room which can be opened or closed to the main room. There is also a formal garden terrace leading out from the Harbour Room.



Junior Harbour Room



For smaller more intimate weddings, t he front of the Harbour Room overlooking the lake can be closed off to accommodate 30 guests on three round tables or 24 guests on one large table.



The Wedding Dinner



Planning begins with a consultation to discuss your ideas. Their chef will be available to meet with you personally to discuss special requirements.



A Menu tasting will be arranged four to six weeks before your Wedding, your perfect opportunity to taste the food as it will be on your Wedding day and wines which best suit your Menu choices.



They can create a Wedding cake, or facilitate you if you prefer to provide your own. Tables will be dressed with crisp white linen and our florist will provide seasonal fresh flowers to complement your colour palette.



Accommodation



The Wedding venues 26 suites and 24 deluxe rooms are located in a Courtyard setting linked to the Main House and are individually designed and equipped with the latest “comfort” technology. Rich deep pile carpets, super-king beds with goose down duvets and pillows, bespoke furniture and the latest flat screen technology are featured through-out.



The Day After



Make the celebrations last an extra day with a leisurely lake cruise followed by a hearty barbeque at the Lodge.



On cooler or darker evenings enjoy an indoor Buffet and relive the events of the day before.
