The area is home to Leopardstown Racecourse (353 1 289 3607), one of Dublin’s top race tracks, which offers high quality racing and excellent facilities. 

Golfers can take advantage of the Stepaside gold centre (353 1 295 7204), which includes a 40 bay floodlit driving range and an 18 hole par 3 course, near the picturesque village of Stepaside. 

Those who are interested in horticulture are well catered for by the Dublin Garden Group (353 1 295 5884), located at Knockcree, whose members include some of the best private gardens in the greater Dublin area. 

Imaginosity (353 1 217 6130), Dublin’s first interactive children’s museum offers a fun family day out and includes colourful, expertly designed displays.
