Connemara National Park covers some 2,000 hectares (4,942 acres) of scenic mountains, expanses of bogs, heaths, grasslands and woodlands that is rich in wildlife.

Connemara National Park

Situated near Letterfrack, Connemara National Park covers some 2,000 hectares (4,942 acres) of scenic mountains, expanses of bogs, heaths, grasslands and woodlands that is rich in wildlife. Some of the Park's mountains, namely Benbaun, Bencullagh, Benbrack and Muckanaght, are part of the famous Twelve Bens or Beanna Beola range. Attractions include exhibitions, nature trails, audio-visual show. In addition there is a summer programme of walks, talks and special events for younger visitors.

Opening Time:

The Park is open all year round. Visitor Centre: March-May daily, 10am-5.30pm; June-August daily, 9.30am-6.30pm. September-October daily 10am-5.30pm
